Thomas's Time in El Salvador

 Monday July 26.2010 Hey! Thanks for the happy birthday you guys i can hardly beleive that i am going to be 20! AHHHHH! Im so old, two decades, I thought i was going to be a teenager forever! No but i do feel like the time is passing by really quickly and really slowly at the same time. Sounds like you guys had a great time at the ward pioneer day picnic and no Emily we didnt do anything special here for pioneer day. But yeah make sure that when you go to the El Salvadoran restaurant you get lots of pupusas. They have lots of different kinds but my favorite is "frijol con queso" or beans and cheese but if you say it that way they'll think that you are super cool. Oh and then make sure you try horchatta its a drink from a kind of plant but it tastes like a kind of cinnemon drink. Other than that the food here isnt really that special. But its all good though.  Monday July 19, 2010 Hola Familia Hey glad to hear that everything is going great back there. And I am super excited to get the package this next week! Hey But before i say anything else i should tell you guys something that i know that you guys will think is funny. Here in El Salvador there are no copyright laws and so everybody here has pirated dvds and movies long before they come out on dvd. So anyway this morning wqe went and played soccer with 3 of the other zones here in the mission and in order to go there from Santa Anna we have to take a special bus thats alot nicer and sometimes they have movies on the bus. And as part of the mission rules here in our mission we can watch movies only if they are showing on the busses that and you dont really have a choice when the screen is right in front of you and you cant turn it off. So on the bus back from San Salvador we got to see the new new twilight movie "eclipse." (PS it was still really dumb is spanish)hahahaha. No but...

 July 12, 2010 Hey everybody!. Kate is going to have puppies too that's awesome make sure you save one for me! Oh and I've got pictures for you guys some of them were some of the people that we had been teaching and some of the member families in Acajutla and the others are from a Baptism that we had yesterday. We had three baptisms of a whole family which was really awesome their names were Pedro, the dad, Gladis, the mom, and Victor their twelve year old son. They had such strong testimonies of the gospel they were investigators of my companion Elder Diaz who is from Honduras if i forgot to mention that. And we area going to have two more baptisms this Sunday. One of them is a 24ish old guy who name is William who used to be gay but he has a strong testimony of this gospel and that's just proof that through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can conquer anything!  July 5, 2010 Hey that great that you guys had a great Fourth of July! We didn't really celebrate it because it was Sunday and we went out to work all day and i was more occupied with the fact that it was my last day in the area (I got transferred today I am now in the city again called Santa Ana, and my area is called Ciudad Paraiso) so i was trying to go around and visit as many families as possibly could. But was really nice to see that on my last day there in Acajutla we had an attendance of 113 people which is the most that i had ever seen there. Normally the attendance is only about 75-85 people and we had eight investigators that attended Church. It really was a great day it was like heavenly father was telling me: good job Elder Bever you did what i sent you here to do! But i also know that heavenly father has a purpose here for me as well.
