Thomas's Time in El Salvador

 3/29/10 Hey everybody I'm glad to hear that you all had a great time at the beach. Still haven't seen the beach here anmd who knows when that will be. Baptism number two! Marcia was baptised on saturday afternoon it was truely a faith trying experience. Marcia was the first of three women, the sister missionaries in Palmeras had another two people get baptized as well, to be baptised and Elder Ayala baptized her. She was super nervous because when she was really young i guess she almost drowned in a swimming pool and so she's been really pa niched ever since then.and so she had a hard time in the font she had to get rebaptized two times. I just kept praying for her the whole time because i could see that she was super nervous. But afterwards when wetalked to her about it the second she got out of the font she just felt a really strong peaceful feeling that just totally took away any of her doubts really she truely has an amazing testimony.  3/22/10 Baptism!!!! I got my first baptism this past week his name is Jefferson and he is eight years old he was being taught by the sister missionaries in our district and he asked me if i wanted to baptize him a and i said sure. But that was definately a huge help help for me this week. And we are going to have another baptism this saturday Marcia had to change her plans for her baptism last friday but its all good she'd all ready had her interview and everything, but im not sure who is going to baptize her or what but it'll be really good she has a great spirit and is soo ready. Today i am writing to you guys from a city called Santa Anna (if you want to look it up) all of our zone traveled here today on Pday because we are going to have a soccer tourney. The whole mission is having different tournaments today. But im pretty sure we are going to dominate as always. haha.  Mon 3/15/2010 Hey everybody a lot of crazy stuff went on this week. So I guess I'll start out with the bad first and work back up toward the good. This week a really good friend of mine that I met here in the mission, Elder Justin McBride, from Washington DC, went home from the mission. Earlier in his mission, he was in an area called Tikisaih (i don't know how to spell it exactly it's pronounced tee-kee-sighuh) but he was standing on a street one day trying to signal down a bus and there was a man on a motorcycle going the opposite direction. The man on the motorcycle thought that Elder McBride was trying to get his attention. So he wasn't paying attention to the road and he got hit by the bus and died. Elder McBride saw the whole thing and just broke down there right in the street. With counseling from President Lopez, and help, he stayed out here on the mission. He is a great missionary.  Hey everybody 3/8/10 It's picture time!! i finally got a cable for the camera so now i can send you some pictures. I can't send very many at a time but ill see if i can send more photos in another email. Thats really good to hear that everyone's keeping busy ive definately felt that here it seems like the weeks and days are just flying by i almost have four months in the mission. Really it just seems like the words of president Hinkley that you really can get lost in the work and it is a great feeling. We got a baptisimal date this week!! Her name is Marcia. We were out tracting one day and we knocked on her door and aked if we could teach her a short message about the restoration. She said that she couldn't right then but she asked where the church was and so we told her and she said that she would meet us there later on that same day. so we went toi the church just checking to see if she really was going to be there.
