Thomas's Time in El Salvador

 Mon 8/23/2010 Ok you guys are number one on my list of people I need to talk to ok so here goes. I am completely and utterly focused. Sorry about the past two weeks. This past Saturday we had two baptisms of two girls that we have been teaching. The first one's name is Iris she is thirteen years old and her family are all members but went less active when she was seven years old when the dad abandoned the family (this is such a huge problem here its so sad that instead of taking responsibility they just pack their bags and leave). But now the mom and her daughter (Iris) are now super active and have only missed one Sunday. At the baptism the mom almost lost it. Iris started crying then the mom started bawling. I went to congratulate the mom (whose name is Sonya) and she almost grabbed me in a huge bear hug and started crying. But i love that family they really have regained that fire within their hoe and it's really amazing to see that love back in their lives. The second Bapt...

 Mon 8/2/2010 Hey Everyone! Thanks a lot for all of the birthday wishes I hope you guys had a great time. I made a cake last night. And guess what? That's right yellow cake with vanilla frosting!! Believe me or not I was looking for chocolate frosting but the didn't have any so i HAD to get vanilla. I took a picture of it so you guys could see it. Also today i found cheddar cheese in the super market!!! CHEDDAR!!! You can hardly ever find that kind of cheese soi bought a block and some flower tortillas and some mozzarella cheese too. You know what that means ... Quesadillas! ! ! So but overall i had a good birthday - other than the fact that I am so old. Two decades! ahhhh! Then after we went and baked my cake a family that are going to be baptized on the 22nd of this month invited us over last night we didn't know why. But then when we got there they had gone out and bought a cake for me and they sang to me so there you go its official now i had my birthday. I took a video...
