Thomas's Time in El Salvador

 9/27/2010 Hola Familia We did itl Last Saturday we had 6 baptisms I Carlos and Lidia got married on Friday and were baptized with Bryan (their grandson), Diego (a fifteen year old that was a reference of a family of our ward who loves basketball and American Football, so he loves to talk about sports with me), Wilber (the son of the last couple who we baptized), William (our investigator who used to be gay but now he has such a powerful testimony of the gospel and there is nothing that can stop him). It was a really good way to end the week. I was trying to send you guys a copy of the photos from the baptism and the wedding but this stupid computer won't let me. So sorry about that i will get those off to you guys as soon as i possibly can. Another part of the news for this week is that tomorrow are the transfers. And I am getting transferred out of Ciudad Paraiso tomorrow. And I am going to go to a city called Lourdes, which is actually really close to my first area Santa Tecla i...

 Mon 9/13/2010 !Hola Familia! This past week has been a really great week and a really crazy week. First the crazy. Here in El Salvador there are huge problems with gangs here especially the gang called "MS13". And this past week for three days they basically held the country hostage they had all of the markets closed and almost all of the public transportation shut down. It was a little nerve racking because we had to be in the house by 6 o'clock every night and not a whole lot happened here in Santa Anna but in the Capital a lot of scary stuff happened. But heavenly father was watching out for all of us and nothing happened to any of us. But the Lords Work will continue forward boldly and nobly and there is nothing that Satan can do about it and this past Saturday we finally had the wedding and the baptism of Wilber and Sugey who originally had a date for the 31st of August but because they had to work out a lot of the paperwork they had to wait until this past Saturday...
