Thomas's Time in El Salvador

 

  Hey family Wow you guys are getting pretty trunky. But I´ve got bad news i havent been able to take a whole bunch of photos because i cant find my camera! ahhhhhhh! I think that someone stole it out of my backpack because i cant find it. I was looking for it this morning so im going to spend this entire day looking for it in the house and in every single other place that i went this week. But i really was thinking about it i got a little frustrated (really mad) this morning, but then i started thinking about it and really its not that important. The experiences here in the mission are the best memories that i will never forget. This past week was a whole lot better. We had for the first time an entire family in sacrament meeting! The dad is a less active member that stopped coming to church when he was about 12 years old but hasnt been back to church he found a girlfriend and has been living with her for the past 6 years and she had gone to the church when she was really little...

10/17/11 Hey family  Ok first of all Emily never thinks that i read what she writes in the emails which is so not true. Dont worry about the car Emily its not up to us. ;) Eternal perspective!!! just like in the movie the RM.  That was really cool that you guys got to go and see the BYU football game! Im glad that the cougars are turning things around a little bit. This week has been super CRAZY!!!!!!! First of al the weather..... we´ve been hit!!!!! El Salvador got hit by a really bad tropical storm all of this week! ITS BEEN RAINING 24/7 for seven days!!! I Hate the rain!!! at one point i had to go walking through water up to my knees. And so now starting yesterday ive had a pretty bad cold so im trying to take it easy and everything.  The Country of El Salvador is on red alert right now for all of the areas that are on low sea level. So im pretty grateful that im in Juayua because its up here in the mountains. We do have to be a little careful...

 10/10/11      Hola familia Thats excellent news!! Im so excited for the ward now! I need to get to know these missionaries. Thats excellent that Gerrick Eakin is helping out. I was a little worried about him for a while. Things are changing so fast it seems like everyone is getting so old and im just stuck in the same time that i left for the mission. I finally got the fotos of the baptism that we had after general conference. The stinking website hasnt been working all this morning so it has taken me super long to be able to write you guys. So i dont have a whole lot of time. But i wanted to share an experience that we had on saturday. There is a super less active family that lives super far away in this place called las cañales and it takes a while for us to get there. But i felt like we needed to go and visit them.  10/3/11      Hey Ethan (and the rest of the family as well because i dont have time to write two different emails)   So im not going to lie i have no idea who jake heaps is or riley nelson, that stinks i have no idea who is on the BYU football team!!! Oh well i will found out soon.    The past weekend was really cool we had a multi zone conference on friday and then we had conference on saturday and sunday and then after the conference on sunday we had a baptism!!! Omar got baptized. so it was a pretty cool weekend and we had 4 investigators that came to the conference as well.   But i realized a whole bunch of stuff that i have been doing wrong and i dont have a whole lot of time to fix it. The way that my companion and i have been planning has been really bad because we come up with really good stuff but then after we come up with the idea it just sits there and we dont do anything about it.  9/26/11 Hahaha thats really funny!  Here is El Savador its like saying "kid" you would say bicho for a boy and bicha for a girl. Im not going to lie though it was a little weird for me at first because i kept thinking that they were saying the other word that is not so great. Im glad that you´re doing such a great job up there just keep it up! I can hardly beleive that i have less than two months left here in the mission it seems that time has gone by so stinking fast. Always look for opportunities to take advantage of your time there. I'm excited that we are going to be at BYU at the same time I'll have someone to get on my case when i start slacking off.  How are your classes? Which are your hardest classes? Im going to have to have mom register in like three weeks so ive got to come up with the classes that i want this week or next week.
