Katherine Gutierrez got baptized.

Hola Familia,
Wow emily you area already going to go to state this week that
is going to be so cool! Im so jealous that i cant get to see you run
until next year. You still need to get a workout set up for me
when i get back i want to get in alot better shape. And sure that
was exactly thats what i was trying to say to say to you
Emily but still .... too much makeup ;).
Today ive had one of the most edifying p days that ive had in a
long time we had a baptism of the last of the family that i had
baptized here in Paraiso before. The Gutierrez family. they all
had gotten baptized exept for the daughter, Katherine. And
finally today she got baptized! So early this morning we had her
baptism it was a very powerful baptism i could feel the spirit so
strongly. Another Elder, Elder Ballard that had been teaching
the family before i got there was able to baptize her. And now i
am in the family history library using the computer to write you
guys and listening to the new cd that grandma sent me here in
her Easter package (yes i did get both of the easter packages that
you sent mom and then the other that grandma sent) and then
afterwards we are going back over to the family gutierrez' s
house because they invited us to eat lunch over there.
Also this past week we recieved a reference of a young lady who
is super positive. Ahe already has a baptismal date for the 28th
of this month and came to church yesterday. Her name is Mary
Escobar. She is abbout 24-25. But she has a friend thats a
member that lives in the US. She married a returned missionary
and her and her husband had been talking to Mary for a while
now about the church and she loves everything about it. We
went and taught her for the first time, and explained to us that
she had been a model for a Beer company here in El Salvador,
and through her job met her boyfriend. Anyway she ended up
breaking up with him, but he didnt like that too much and started
abusing her physicaly and even paid somone to go and kill her.
So when we went and taught her, she told us it was like a answer
to her prayers. Because she has gone to the police and filed a
search warrent for her boyfriend to arrest him. So she has been
super scared and afraid, but i could tell that while we were
teaching her that she could feel the spirit and that has given her
the hope that she can find peace in her life.
The Lord truely is preparing the hearts of his children to hear the
message of the restored gospel. This is the true gospel of Jesus
Christ and wants every single one of his children to hear it.
Please always look for opportunities to share the gospel with
those arround you, you never know who the Lord is preparing to
listen. I love you all so much and no matter the challenges or
difficulties that we face through the atonement of Jesus Christ
all of us can overcome anything. Have a great week, talk to you
