Hola familia
I hope you all saved me enough cheese curds from the coast. I
was just thinking about that the other day about those things. I
was telling Elder Ferrin about the cheese factory there in
tillamook. No im glasd that you hasd a really good time with
Sophie though I can just imagine you guys on the beach running
everywhere after her. I'll tell you this much for sure though you
should probably slow down a little bit more in your track meets!
hahaha no im just joking Emily and Audrey are tearing it up. If
eaither one of you get sponsored by Nike, just remember you
poor big brother here in El Salvador when they ask if you want
free shoes (My size is still mens 9.5 ;)
Mom as for the pin number it works. I dont know how it could
gotten changed like that oh well. its fine the way it is right now.
Hey if you guys could set up a skype account and tell me what it
is that would be really cool if we could talk through skype on
mothers day. Im going to see if i can set up one today or next
monday. But that would be really cool because we got
permission to do it from president Lopez.
This week was really cool for us because we had two baptisms.
They were a young couple that got married and then they got
baptized right after the wedding on Saturday. Their names are
Oscar and Roxana. Ther husband before had been a huge
alchoholic and Elder Ferrin when he found the husband (Oscar)
he was so drunk, so they took him back to his house and the next
day he went to church and ever since we've been teaching him
the gospel and now is completely recovered and has found work
and has been super positive yesterday they both got confirmed,
and Oscar recieved the aaronic preisthood also. So that was the
really cool experience number one. Then on friday the day
before the baptism, i got to go back to my old area in Paraiso on
divisions with Elder Govea who is from Ecuador, because i am
back in the same zone i was before just now as the zone leader.
But it was really cool to go back and see some of my recent
converts. But we went and visited the chavez family, the mom is
super active but the dad is super less active and hates the church
and doesnt want anything to do with it. her three year old son
had a fever of like 102 all that night before and it had dropeed in
the morning, but then later on in the day it came back so she
asked us if we could give her son a blessing i felt the forehead
right before and it was burning hott. After i gave the blessing it
was completely normal, and we came back later that night the
dad was there and was super nice to us and his son was running
around and playing soccer in the street in front of his house. It is
really amazing the power of the presithood in the lives of
people. If you just have faith there is really nothe impossible. I
love you guys so much and hope that you are all going to have a
great week!
