William and Rosa are getting baptized! The Temple is coming along!

Hola familia
Sounds like everything is going well back there. Everything
is going pretty ..... fantastic! back here. We are going to have
three baptisms this weekend! William and Rosa the young
couple that a told you guys about are going to get baptized this
Sunday along with a Lady called Diana Romero who is the mom
of a less active member called Marvin who saw us in the street
one day and came up to us and said "I'm a member of the
church but went inactive for four years do you know where the
chapel is here?" From the second that we stared talking to him
he has returned completely to the church and we started
teaching his mom who is golden! So she's going to get baptized
also on Sunday!
The temple is coming along really well they put the angel
Moroni on this week and its basically all done just a little bit
more of the landscaping work and some inside painting and it
should be all set for April (supposedly that is the official date
when its going to be dedicated) so ill be here for sure. Can't
wait! Just the fact that there will be a temple here in the
country of El Salvador provides so many blessings for the
people here. One of which was something that happened for
the youth this past week. This past week was the first time that
El Salvador has had EFY. They held it for the youth of the
western part of El Salvador but it was something that was so
cool. They had a testimony meeting for sacrament meeting
here in the ward and all of the youth that went came back with
such strong testimonies. It was so powerful listening to all of
their testimonies. It was like getting hit by a wall of the spirit.
One of them was the step son of Louis that got baptized two
weeks ago. When he bore his testimony it was like whoa! It
made me reflect a lot about the first time that i went to EFY in
Provo. This country really is a blessed country in midst of al of
the confusion, the turmoil, and the poverty there can be born
testimonies so powerful its amazing.
We had another super cool experience this week we
taught the law of tithing to Rosa and William this week. And we
realized that William has been supporting his wife himself and
his two year old daughter with only $93.00 a month I 93 bucks
that's it! When they said that they would pay the law of tithing
my heart just broke because after he told us how much he had
been making. So this week we decided to do something special
for them. We went out and bought like $30 worth of food and a
little Christmas tree with some decorations and lights and we
went over to their house on Thursday and cooked pancakes for
them. It was so awesome! After I finished cooking for
everybody (oh and our ward mission leader came with us also).
We told them that they had to set up the tree and decorate it.
Afterwards we turned off all of the lights and watch the lights
flash on and off. And then William said something to us that
really impacted me. It wasn't anything super elaborate he only
said to me "Gracias." Or "Thank you." Ok so you don't need me
to help you translate that one. But it was the way that he said
it. I know that we truly made this Christmas a special one for
the Molina Family. That's awesome that you guys got to go and
do opportunities for service this week in the temple and you
too Ethan help delivering Christmas wreaths. Let this Christmas
be a Christmas of service. Help those around you and i know
that it will be one of the best ones that we will ever have. I love
you guys soo much! Have a great week and look for ways to
serve those around you.
