I'm at the MTC!

Hey guys sorry i am just now writing to you huys i didnt get a chance to set up an email account the first day. So mom if you are still flipping out dont worry i am still alive : ). And to make up for it i 

sent you guys letter so hopefully that will make up for it. Anyway the MTC is really tough and 

amazing at the same time. Starting tomorrow I will have 2 four hour classes 2 times a week, but despite the fact the spirit is soo strong! Every time we are in class you can feel the spirit. 

Overall though the MTC is almost exactly like BYU. The guys in my district are really cool guys and my companion's name is Elder Whittier. He is such an awesome guy! he acts exactly like me so we get along geat! He is actually going to Costa Rica and is leaving the MTC the day after i am along with most of the district. There are only three of us going to El Salvador and Belize. i run into David quite a bit his classroom is really close to mine so whenever we go "contacting" in the hallway in Spanish i try to run into him. Ive seen 7 or 8 guys from my ward at BYU so its been really great to see them again. I ran into Jake Loveland, Andy McQuay and Sam Carlson the other day so that was really good to see them. But its been 

Great. Elder Whittier and i have already taught the first discussion in English to our teacher in front of the whole district and it was amazing!

Elder Whittier and i teach so well together and the spirit was so strong it was an amazing experience. My Spanish is coming back so quickly its a piece of cake. I've probably had the most experience with Spanish so the other elders really appreciate my help and i try to work ahead of where the class is working. i dont think that there is a whole lot more to report to you. You will get my mailing address on the letter that i am sending you but i cant give it to you right now 

because i dont have it right in front of me and i only have 16 more minutes left to right so i cant run back and get it. But Mom if when you get that address could you post that to facebook i would really appreciate it so other people could write me. Send me Mail!! we love mail and ive been here 5 days without any. I want to make sure that you all know that i love you an i know that as i go out and serve the lord by preaching the gospel to the people of El Salvador and Belize i will bless not only the people that i will teach but i will bless our family as well. i found a really cool scripture that i think really hits home for me and is probably my new favorite scripture! Its 2 Nephi 1: 21 and 23. So i hope that this scripture will kind of give you some insight as to the spirit that is felt here. this is lehi talking to his sons right before he dies. "and now that my soul might have joy in you and that my heart might leave this world with gladness because of you that i might not be brought down with greif and sorrow to the grave, arise from the dust my sons and be men and be determined in one mind and in one heart united in all things that ye might not come down into captivity ... Awake my sons; put on the armor of righteoussness. shake off the chains with which ye are bound, and come forth out of obscurity and arise from the dust." i hope that we all can do as lehi directs and arise from the dust and troubles of the world and be determined in one mind and one heart united in all things. i love you all so very much and am expecting lots of letters and packages.
